Leisa Marie, Artist

After a 30-year career in corporate branding, I found myself carrying the weight of mounting stress, anxiety, depression, and re-emerging PTSD triggers. I had all the right tools — a trusted counsellor, weightlifting, family, friends — but the darkness still loomed. Then came a quiet, persistent calling: paint. The moment I finally listened — kicked off my shoes, put brush to paper — something shifted. My depression began to melt away. The creative process became more than just a pastime; it became a profound and necessary way of caring for my own spirit. That experience reshaped my path. I've since dedicated myself to helping others discover the healing potential of art — whether through therapeutic art experiences, commissioned works, or intimate creative gatherings.

  • Hey...I Got You

Taking steps to try something new can feel exciting for some and debilitating for others. And though art looks lovely, it can be really intimidating (even I still feel that way!) Regardless where you are in your day or your life, I am here to listen and walk alongside you with a little bit of paint and a big supportive process.

  • Process Before Product

Inhale, exhale, slooooow it down. Adulthood has given us the unfortunate weight of expectations and fear of trying, sometimes we want to skip over the process (the good stuff!) and have the product in our hands, ta-da! But the process of creating art with our hands helps wiggle out our inner critic so we can release that with love, balances our nervous system and instills confidence and clarity. Like a little scrub-a-dub for the soul!

  • Hello Healing Journey

Bravo for reading this far, I tend to ramble, but it's just because I care so deeply about supporting your well-being. I reached for art in my darkest moment. Art brought me a moment of peace. A moment. And in that moment I was able to take a step forward. Then more art, then more steps. I have yet to create art alongside someone who did not feel a step closer to peace. The artistic process can align beautifully with other mental wellness activities you are invested in. Reach out, remember, I got you.
